Sprinkler problems, and how to repair them, are the most common questions I receive from the owners. With this in mind, I set out to try to answer some of these questions to those of you who want a patio to be proud of. Indications of problems with your sprinkler system repair near me may be obvious, but sometimes they will be more subtle. I will cover many of these and repairs needed to fix the problem. At this point, I must say that for those of you who want to perform these repairs, they will get wet.
The most common sign of a problem is a brown or dry spot in the grass. This often occurs when a spray nozzle is clogged or the rotor head has stopped rotating. Attaching a spray nozzle is as simple as replacing the nozzle and filter on the head. A failed rotor can sometimes be fixed by switching
The gut and the head of the head. In most cases, it is easier to replace the entire head.
Another sign of trouble is a soft or damp spot. This can have many causes ranging from a broken head to a cracked tube. A sign related to these is holes or washes near the heads. The first cause of these signs can sometimes be related to the problem in the previous section where a rotor puts all the water in one place and leaves the rest of the area dry. In the case of holes or washes, the probable cause is a cracked head or an accessory under the head. As expected, the solution to this is to dig the head and replace the parts as needed.
A more subtle problem is a head that is constantly leaking. This and the biggest problem with a station that does not turn off are signs of a defective membrane or dirt in the valve. Although disassembling the valve and replacing the diaphragm will often solve the problem, be prepared to change the valve if you do not.
A more difficult problem to deal with is a station that does not turn on. Before becoming frustrated with how to find the cause, there are two main suspects to verify. The first is all cable connections. Even under the best conditions, corrosion or rodents can destroy a compound. The next thing to check is whether there is power in the solenoid valve. If the solenoid valve sounds but the station remains off, the solenoid valve is probably poor and should be replaced.
