Kimbo Slices next match

EliteXC heavyweight Ken Shamrock was the center of attention after "Primetime" on CBS "Saturday Night Fights" last weekend, calling Kimbo Slice for his poor performance against James Thompson in the main event of the night. Rogers, who swept "The Colossus" in the first round at EliteXC: "Urban Certification" earlier this year, emphasized Slice at the post-match press conference, which almost led to a change on the podium.

The most dangerous man in the world has maintained a constant monotony of illy cafe throughout the week, saying Slice should "move forward." Slice has been silent for most of the PR attack. While nothing is official, Kimbo Slice has accepted Brett Rogers' challenge and told Bas Rutten on ESPN.com radio that the fight is underway perhaps sometime after his fight with Shamrock in October.

Failing to call Kimbo Slice's mother's father, Rogers did so, saying almost everything he could to make this match happen. And it worked blatantly, though the president of Elite XC Live Events, Gary Shaw, indicated immediately after the match that it would not happen soon. If it's really true and Rogers and Slice not only put it up in the media, a fashion show can begin. If it's as easy as putting a challenge on a website and saying some raw phrases at a press conference, Kimbo Slice might have a line after his next match.

Methodically, this is a fight that Kimbo Slice should fear. Yes, Ken Shamrock is the biggest fighter and Kimbo Slice just had a tough time with the size of Tank, but Rogers is a different fighter than Shamrock. He will attack his enemies, which is Kimbo's food ticket. The battles in Kimbo have been his inexperience and basic play. People have questioned his coup, and now Brett Rogers is likely to try to prove that Kimbo is thrilled to hit him on his own.
